Thermal Metrics to Identify Canadian Coastal Environments
نویسندگان
چکیده
A thermal metric developed using the day-to-day temperature variability framework that was previously applied to east coast of China has been adapted for Canadian climate station data. The same metric, based on minimum day, able distinguish between coastal and inland stations, especially when winter months December, January February, were removed from analysis. While threshold distinguished two groups different than China, it nonetheless unambiguous. range latitudes in setting sufficiently narrow a latitude correction, as performed not required. comparison with more traditional measure continentality suggests performs better at identifying coastal/continental nature This work also nuanced treatment should be considered all such measures colder climates.

متن کاملIdentify criteria and metrics for evaluating VAT policy
Because VAT is collected from different stages of production and can cover all goods and services, it has a broad tax base and generates a lot of revenue for the government. In fact, the VAT system is a kind of tax restructuring that is mostly to increase revenues and equip financial resources to finance government expenditures. The introduction of value added tax in recent years has been one o...

متن کاملThermal Evolution of Coastal California with Application to Hydrocarbon Maturation
Coastal California has evolved through a series of plate tectonic interactions that significantly affected the geologic, thermal, and hydrocarbon maturation histories of the area. Numerical solutions for steady-state heat transfer are used to estimate temperature suppression resulting from plate subduction along coastal California, and to model thermal refraction within the Pismo basin. Numeric...
متن کاملDifferential responses to thermal variation between fitness metrics
Temperature is a major factor affecting population abundance and individual performance. Net reproductive rate (R0) and intrinsic rate of increase (r) differ in their response to different temperature regimes, and much of the difference is mediated by generation time (Tg). Here, we evaluate the effects of thermal mean and variability on R0, r and Tg, at four population densities in Drosophila m...
